GLS > During our tour of Budapest we stopped at Fisherman’s Bastion in the Castle District on the Buda side of Budapest. Designed in 1895, Fisherman’s Bastion was never used for defense and instead serves as a viewing terrace. From there you get a great view of the Danube River and the Pest side. The Danube River runs through Budapest, with the hilly Buda side on the west bank and flat Pest on the east.
