GLS > First stop on the Greece & Italy trip was Athens, the capital of Greece. Here, the girls are posing in front of the Parthenon, an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Athena.

GLS > The students decided to attend a major sporting event - the football (soccer) match between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos, the two arch-rival teams in Athens. The girls were supporting Panathinaikos.

GLS > Syntagma Square has a long history since every major event in Greece has either been celebrated or mourned here. at the top of Syntagma is the Greek Parliament, formerly the King's Palace, built between 1836 and 1840.

GLS > Mmmmm! Gelato! After all, the students were told to "taste Italy"!

GLS > First stop was the Colosseum, originally named the Flavian amphitheatre. It was built in the 1st century AD and was the venue for games, shows, gladiator fights as well as Christian persecution.

GLS > The Colosseum had a total spectator capacity of 45,000-55,000.

GLS > They're smiling at the waiter, not the photographer! They just saw their pizzas :)

GLS > We're confident Kristin made it back to Italy after our trip!

GLS > Trevi Fountain is the most famous and arguably the most beautiful fountain in Rome. The tradition here is that if you throw a coin in the fountain you will return to Italy one day.
